Effective September 1, Nikhil Seth has assumed the position as Director for the Division for Sustainable Development (DSD) of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). In this capacity, he will also serve as the Head of the Office of the Secretary-General of the UNCSD (Rio+20). Seth succeeds Tariq Banuri and previously served as Director of the Office for Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Support and Coordination. Further Information
