IPBES: Recommendations for Scientific Assessments

The report of the International Science Workshop on Assessments for IPBES has been issued containing recommendations and options for policy-makers, inter alia, the scope and nature of  assessments, and the number and type of working groups needed to effectively carry out these assessments. This document has been submitted to UNEP and is intended to be proposed to policymakers at the meetings of the IPBES plenary in October 2011 and February 2012.
