CMS: South American grasslands conservation moving towards a legal framework

A new action plan adopted by parties of CMS, in collaboration with Birdlife International and and Asocion Guyra Paraguay, is one step in an effort to develop a legal framework for the conservation of grasslands in South America. The action plan seeks to ensure the conservation of habitats by identifying new protected areas, providing financial incentives, coordinating monitoring and research, conducting threat assessments, raising awareness, and enhancing international cooperation.
